We are currently seeking a full time Patient Care Coordinator for our busy, outpatient physical therapy practice in Sacramento, California.
At Campus Commons Physical Therapy we put patient care first and are looking for someone who has a strong interest in helping others and has a strong sense of community. Qualities that are important for this position include: a friendly, outgoing personality, ability to multi-task, great organizational skills, the ability to work well on a team.
Job duties will include:- Welcoming patients as they arrive
- Answering phones
- Scheduling patients
- Ensuring that patients attend their appointments
- Collection of patient payments
- Management of our call log
- New patient intake/communication
- Weekly reports
- Maintain a clean front office and waiting room
- Verification of Insurance Benefits
- Explanation of Benefits to newly evaluated patients
- Handling the sales process to help patients get fully signed up for care
- Scheduling patients after their evaluation
- Patient Billing – correct collection of patient responsibility
- Data Entry – you need to be proficient with Microsoft Office Products and basic data entry
- Verifying Insurance Benefits
- Filing insurance claims
Candidate needs to have a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor, a positive forward-thinking outlook, the willingness and ability to work well with others as a team member, great organization and strong multi-tasking skills. Most importantly you will need to be dedicated to helping patients get the care they need.
Experience: Requires experience in a healthcare setting providing patient registration and insurance authorization with approximately 2 years experience is strongly desired. Requires 1 year of insurance billing experience. Strong customer experience preferred.
Skills: Required to collect a variety of information in an extremely accurate manner in a fast-paced environment. Must be highly skilled in verbal and written communication. Strong computer skills required. Requires customer service skills. Requires attention to detail.
This is a full-time position that requires you to be able and willing to work 8 hour workdays. Our operating hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 6:00pm and Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm. At Campus Commons Physical Therapy, we believe in giving back to the community so willingness to participate in charitable activities and donate time may be expected. Coverage two evenings per month is required to handle our workshops.
